Complex

A complex aircraft endorsement allows you to operate aircraft that have flaps, a constant speed propeller, and retractable landing gear.

You can keep your endorsement current in one of two ways. You can add another certificate or rating or, alternatively, you can take a biennial flight review (once every 24 calendar months) with an authorized flight instructor.

Your training will involve a certain amount of dual flight instruction with an authorized instructor as well as a certain amount of ground instruction. You will become proficient in operating all of the systems of a complex aircraft. You will also become knowledgeable in normal and abnormal operations of those systems.

Vermont Flight Academy uses a Piper PA-28 Arrow for complex aircraft training.
